Teach For America is a leadership development organization that places college students and recent graduates in paid roles supporting under-resourced K-12 schools. Through our part-time TFA Ignite program and full-time Teaching Corps program, participants gain real responsibility and build leadership skills by working directly with students in communities across the country. Our mission is to ensure every child has access to excellent education by developing leaders who drive change both inside and beyond the classroom. What sets us apart is leadership from day one, deep community immersion, and transferable skills that prepare you for any career.
We’re looking for students with all majors, backgrounds, and career goals. What matters most? Your drive. Your ability to lead. Your desire to develop and make a difference. We need individuals who want to develop real leadership skills while working alongside students to expand opportunity—people who believe every student deserves access to an excellent education and want to be part of making that happen in the classroom and beyond.
We offer 2 key programs. In both you will be working with students in an under-resourced school community to help them reach their full potential:
-TFA Ignite: paid, part-time (3-5 hours per week), virtual tutoring role (perfect for exploring education while building leadership skills)
-Teacher Corps: salaried, full-time teaching position for after graduation (your launchpad for career-defining leadership)
